Service Description

Join us at The Music Room this summer for a fun, creative, and inspiring Family Musical Theatre —where performers will grow their talents and watch their confidence blossom! Designed for students ages 10 and up, this production is perfect whether you or your child are a seasoned performer or just ready to sink their teeth into musical theatre for the first time. Throughout the program, students will work with experienced instructors to cultivate essential theatrical skills, including character development, vocal technique, and choreography. In a supportive, welcoming environment, performers will feed their creativity, build teamwork skills, and help each other thrive—no green thumbs required! Auditions will be held on May 11th, with rehearsals officially beginning June 15th. Rehearsals take place in the evenings on Mondays and Thursdays, continuing through Tech Week beginning August 10th. We understand summer schedules can get busy, so students are allowed up to two excused absences for vacations or other commitments—because even the best plants need room to grow. Please remember that you will not be called for every rehearsal until we start running the show in late July. We’ll celebrate all their hard work with three* performances of Little Shop of Horrors, open to family, friends, and the public. Come see what’s been growing on stage! CLASS INFORMATION This program is designed to help young performers branch out and build skills in acting, singing, and dancing, all while having a root-in’-tootin’ good time. Students will participate in: - Scene and character studies to help performances bloom - Vocal exercises and coaching to strengthen singing skills (no “feed me” moments required!) - Fun, high-energy choreography to keep everyone moving and grooving The camp culminates in a full musical production of Little Shop of Horrors. This hands-on experience allows students to showcase their growth on stage, collaborate as an ensemble, and create memories that will stick like vines long after the final bow.
