Job Type

Shift & Schedule

In-Person | 71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica, MA 01862

Responsibilities

We are looking for a guitar instructor for private and group lessons to join us on a part-time basis. We're specifically looking for a teacher who can commit to coming in two days a week as we fill their schedule.

Responsibilities would be to meet with students one-on-one working on technique, music theory, ear training, and song rep. We encourage students to participate in recitals twice a year, so instructors should be involved in picking recital repertoire and encourage their students to participate in performance opportunities. Lessons are primarily in person but we occasionally have students who want to take remote, online lessons.

We ask our teachers to offer at least one group class per semester for 4-8 students. There is a lot of flexibility in what that class can be depending on the teacher's interests and expertise.

Communicating with parents how students are progressing. This can be done either by email or after lessons conclude.

Experience & Education

  • BM in music with guitar as the primary instrument

  • 1 year of private or group teaching experience preferred

Benefits

  • Employee discount

  • Flexible schedule

  • Professional development assistance

COVID-19 considerations:

All costumers are required to wear face masks in common areas. We installed air purifiers in each classroom. Students that are symptomatic should test and reschedule or go remote when needed.
