Responsibilities

We are looking for a piano instructor to join us for the summer and the following school year with the possibility to extend their contract after the first year.

Responsibilities would be to meet with students one-on-one working on technique, music theory, ear training, and song rep. We try to encourage students to participate in recitals twice a year, so instructors should be involved in encouraging their students to take advantage of opportunities to perform.

We also ask our teachers to offer at least one group class a semester which will last for 8-10 weeks. Group classes can encompass a wide range of topics, from group instrument study to more topic-specific classes.

​

Communicating with parents how students are progressing. This can be done either by email or after lessons conclude.

Experience & Education

  • BM in music with piano as the primary instrument

  • 1 year of private or group teaching experience

COVID-19 considerations:

We have transitioned to a mask-optional policy in common areas of the studio, but teachers set the policy for maks in their lessons. We installed air purifiers in each classroom. Students that are symptomatic should test and reschedule when needed.
